Cameron Highlands Community Service Centre in Pahang Malaysia prides itself on being a concerned and effective community based organisation. It plays a valuable role in helping many less privileged residents to overcome difficulties and misunderstandings when dealing with corporations, entrepreneurs and government bureaucracies.

The Board of Advisors are a well educated and community minded group of individuals who generously give their time, skills and energies to assist individuals and families throughout the Tanah Ratah, Brinchang and Ringlet districts of the Cameron Highlands. They understand that many citizens of modest education, little money and limited communication skills frequently "fall between the cracks". They are simply unable to access Government Departments or business organisations with sufficient skill and persistence to obtain their rights or seek redress in situations where they may have been denied simple equity or justice.

The Board members of the Cameron Highlands Community Service Centre do not see themselves as chivalrous knights enthusiastically riding into battle on behalf of this person or that. They well understand that many citizens have complaints about life situations which are basically of their own making or simply the result of bad luck. Nevertheless there are indeed instances where local citizens are being unfairly disadvantaged by powerful people or agencies, sometimes even without the actual knowledge of the apparent "perpetrators". In such cases the Service Centre can often play an effective and successful part in a communication, conciliation or negotiation role on behalf of less privileged citizens who lack the necessary education or skills.

The Service Centre's work is totally non-profit. We do not receive any official funding. But money isn't everything and there are a number of ways caring persons like yourself can help us so please look into the possibilities before you leave this website.
